My One Year Anniversary Being a Younique Presenter!

January 1, 2015 was my one year anniversary as a Younique rep.January 1, 2015 marked my 1-year Younique anniversary. As I was looking back on this past year, I realized that I accomplished so much… more than I even set out to do initially. When I signed up, I didn’t have any lofty goals really. Mascara has always been one of my favorite products. I heard that Younique had great mascara. I wanted to sign up to sell it to my other mom friends. The end. So I decided to sign up on January 1st (is there really a more perfect date to sign up to do something new?) and I was really excited about receiving my presenter kit (read: mascara). I was totally and completely in it for the mascara, at the beginning at least.

As more and more time passed by, I got more serious about Younique. I would say around May is when I really started working the business and realizing my goals for myself and for my business. I just remember thinking “Why Not Me?” when I thought about success with Younique. Why couldn’t I be at the top of the compensation plan? Why couldn’t I recruit a lot of Younique Presenters and help them? Why couldn’t I give it my all and see what happens?

And that’s what I did. I gave it my all. I started sharing Younique with more and more people. I started dreaming about the possibilities. I started to live and breathe Younique. (Take a look at the great video that Younique released on December 31, 2014 called, “START“. I’m so glad that I “started” my Younique journey just one year ago!)

I also thought about what I wanted to happen between then and January 1st 2015 and wrote it down on a piece of paper:

  • The post-it note of when I set my goal to become a Younique Black Status Presenter.Black Status Presenter.
  • 100+ personally sponsored.
  • More confidence.
  • Personal development daily.
  • Leave comfort zone behind.

It’s funny when I think back to the initial call between my husband, my sponsor, and myself last January. My husband asked her if it was possible for me to hit Black status within 3 months. She laughed and said that while it was possible, it wasn’t likely to do so. I glared at my husband wondering why he would even ask this. I was just excited to have some great mascara, not to make it to the top of the compensation plan.

My how times have changed though!

As far as my goals up above, I did hit Black Status Presenter with Younique after 10 months. My confidence has gone through the roof (in a good way)! I’m excited every single day about the possibilities that are in front of me. I love working with my team daily. I love seeing all of the excitement, support, and positivity on my team page. You know before Younique my Facebook feed was cluttered with drama and negativity. Since being a Younique presenter, it’s SO happy and positive. It’s extremely rare to see something negative now and I love that so much.

Personal development books and videos are a part of my daily life. I fully believe that I need to strive to be the best me that I can be. To say that I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone would be an understatement. There comes a time when leaving your comfort zone is just what you need to do to make the magic happen.

I personally enrolled 99 younique presenters - just one shy of my one year goal of 100!The only goal that I wanted for my 1-year Younique anniversary to happen but didn’t is to personally sponsor at least 100 presenters on my team. I fell short by one presenter. I’m at 99 personally sponsored Younique presenters, and while it’s not 100, I’m happy with it. It represents me talking to new people about the opportunity and stepping out of my comfort zone. It’s an amazing number and I can’t wait to meet new presenters that are as excited about the Younique opportunity as I am!

Now it’s your turn.

What do you want to accomplish during 2015? Extra money so that you don’t have to worry about paying for gas and groceries? Or how about paying your mortgage, new car, new house, or much, much more? Meeting new friends and working in a positive atmosphere? Saving for your children’s college education? Putting extra money aside for retirement? Winning free vacation from your Direct Sales company? Freedom? Working from home so you can stay at home with your kids?

We all have different reasons as to why we look to join business opportunities, but in order for anything to change, we have to make that commitment and join. It’s a brand new year and you have a clean slate. Take a chance this 2015. You don’t have to dream about Black status right away if that’s not your thing, but take a chance on turning your life around for the better.

I’d love to tell you more about Younique and to see how we can develop a plan so you can achieve your goals this year. There is no better feeling in the world than helping people and I’d love the chance to talk to you more about your dreams for your life. Contact me today and let’s get started!

  1. Hi kristin
I just read your journey and wow. I’m into my second month of being a younique presenter, totally believe in the products they are amazing. I qualified white and yellow in 3 weeks but finding it really hard to recruit. In my group forums have liaised with my sponsor and up line about recruitment tips. They say to network and make new friends daily. No one ever explains how to do this. Is there a secret to how you gain new friends to then include them in your closed fb page? I’m active in other groups making connections and relationships, but don’t understand how people can physically add 20 new names to their groups. Any support advice would be much appreciated

    • Hey Emma! Welcome to Younique 🙂 To make new friends on Facebook: Look at the suggested friends and as long as you have at least 5 mutual friends, you can friend request them without getting in trouble for spamming on FB. Once you friend them though, you do not want to add them to a group. Take time to get to know that person by looking at their profile and seeing what they are involved in. Comment on their photos and like their comments. The goal is to create a relationship, not spam. Once you’ve talked to that person, you can PM them about your closed group. ALWAYS ask for their permission before adding anyone to a group. There’s nothing more frustrating than someone friend requesting me, not talking to me at all, and then adding me to a group. I immediately delete those people. Hope that makes sense!
