Are you a member of Birchbox or looking for Birchbox reviews? For those of you who haven’t heard about Birchbox, it’s a subscription-based beauty box that arrives at your doorstep every single month for only $10. You can customize your Birchbox as far as your skin tone, coloring, sensitivity, hair color, eye color, and what you are looking to receive every month. I just received my September Birchbox and realized that I’ve been a member for over 3.5-years now. That’s a lot of samples that I’ve received and reviewed, y’all!
One thing that I’ve always really liked about Birchbox is that you have time after receiving your box to review each product inside. You answer a few questions about each product and then Birchbox awards your account 10 points. For every 100 points, you get $10 to spend in the Birchbox shop. These points keep growing and are good for 365 days.
Currently, I have just about $60 to spend on any product that I want. It’s definitely not a bad deal at all! Another way to earn points is by referring a friend to Birchbox. You refer a friend to Birchbox and you get 50 points added to your account for every friend that signs up.
While I’m not totally crazy about everything in September’s box, there are a couple of things that I do really like, so it’s definitely worth spending $10 to try out new products and possibly find a favorite items or two!
Here’s what came inside of my September Birchbox Along With My Reviews Of Products:
1. Avène Cleanance Soap-Free Gel Cleanser
What: Infused with French thermal spring water, this purifying cleanser gently removes grime.
My Birchbox Review: Since this product is for oily, blemish-prone skin, I’m not the ideal candidate for it. I have normal skin and (knock on wood) do not have problems with blemishes. I can’t see myself ever needing to use this product.
2. Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum
What: Oil-free and rich in antioxidants, this treatment fades dark spots and evens skin tone.
My Birchbox Review: Love this one! I probably wouldn’t have tried it without sampling it in my Birchbox since it’s $79, but I really do like it a lot. I have redness in my skin and it does help to even my skin tone quite nicely. I put this on before I put on moisturizer or BB cream.
3. Davines Oi Absolute Beautifying Conditioner
What: Loaded with apricot butter and roucou oil, this detangler protects and softens hair.
My Birchbox Review: Have you seen the length of my hair? It’s long and I love me a good detangling conditioner. This sample size is huge, which makes me really happy. I will probably get at least 6 uses out of it. It makes my hair really silky feeling and it smells lovely. I’ll definitely buy this one once my sample runs out!
4. Davines Oi Absolute Beautifying Shampoo
This was added in my Birchbox as a bonus and while the sample of this isn’t nearly as big as the conditioner sample, it’s still really wonderful. I got two shampoos out of the sample, which was enough for me to like the way it made my hair feel. I will definitely purchase this shampoo as well.
5. Juliette Has a Gun Anyway Fragrance
What: This fresh scent, which notes of musk, woods, and citrus, is blended from just 15 ingredients.
My Birchbox Review: Love the smell. Love that there’s only 15 ingredients. Not crazy about the price though ($120). You know those fragrances that you put on and you just can’t stop smelling your wrist? Yep, that’s the case with this one. It smells that good! It smelled great when I sprayed it in the air initially, but once I put it on my wrist, Oh My Gosh. I usually like to keep my price limit around $100 for perfumes, but I will definitely buy this one and will probably use my Birchbox points for some of it. Seriously best part of the whole box!
6. Temptu S/B Highlighter in Champagne Shimmer
What: Liquid shimmer that illuminates and contours your complexion or gives an all-over glow.
My Review: This sample wasn’t in my box. After reading the card that comes with the box, I was pretty excited to try this out since I love me a good shimmer highlighter.
If you’re thinking about trying Birchbox, you should definitely sign up. After all, it’s only $10/month and even if you like one sample, it’s totally worth it! I’ve been a member for a long time now, so I’ve been able to try many things. Some of my most favorite products have been samples that I’ve received and fallen in love with. Without the samples being in my monthly Birchbox, I probably would have never been exposed to them in the first place. It’s pretty fun getting a package delivered to your doorstop every month!
