Binge Eating Disorder Coaching Available

Who else is ready to finally end the struggle, overcome Binge Eating Disorder, and take back control over your life?

Let me ask you a few things first:

  • Do you know all the secluded parking lots where you can binge eat without anyone knowing you are there?
  • Do you ever order a huge amount of food and pretend that it’s not all for you?
  • Do you hide food after you’ve ordered it from a fast food place and then drive to the another place to get more food?
  • Do you throw away the trash (evidence of a binge) in random trash cans so that it can’t be traced back to you?
  • Do you feel like you have a secret life that no one knows about and you’re too ashamed to admit?
  • Do you eat a lot of food to numb the pain?
  • Do you binge because you are trying to make yourself feel better?
  • Do you turn to food to celebrate the good times and drown out the bad and painful?
  • Do you hate yourself for what you do, yet feel completely hopeless on how to stop it?
  • Do you feel like there is something wrong with you and that you’re the only one who suffers?

I am a marathon runner

I am a marathon runner 🏃‍♀️ —> What I write daily as one of my 10 dreams in my Start Today Journal 📔

Today I ran 1 mile without stopping & it’s been years since I’ve done that. Y•E•A•R•S!

I kept saying to myself “You’ve got this. Stronger. Better.” Thanks Rachel & Dave ❤️

Here’s to running 25.1 more 🤣 You gotta start somewhere, right?!

& it’s also the first time in forever (probably since high school) that I’ve run in my [Read more…]

Not so motivated today? I see you.

Where my people at who aren’t so motivated today? 🙋‍♀️ I see you & I feel you. When you aren’t feeling it, it’s so dang hard to get going. Most of you know that I have a promise to myself to move for at least 30 minutes every single day. Yesterday I did 74 min & was super proud. Today, I didn’t even want to open the front door.

But I did.

I ended up doing 39 min in total & literally felt like I was dying for each second that went by. It was hot & each step felt like I was trying to move a brick on my foot. Even my beloved Lizzo didn’t seem to get me as energized. But, I kept going, even with a clump of grass on my left leg that would hit my skin every few steps (didn’t realize what it was til I got home).

That was [Read more…]

9.11.01: Never Forget

🙏On this evening, 18 years ago:

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights.

👫2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning.

👩🏻‍🚒343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift.

👮🏻‍♂️60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol.

👩🏻‍⚕️8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives.

None of them saw past 10:00am on Sept 11, 2001.

In one single moment, life may never be the same. As you live & enjoy the breaths you take today & tonight, before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, & never take one second of your life for granted. 🙏

Morning Routine

What’s your morning routine look like?

Mine begins with delicious cold brew coffee ☕️, writing down 5 things I’m grateful for, writing down 10 dreams that I have for myself, & spending time fueling my brain with a book 📖 all in a very quiet house 🏡.

It’s kind of the perfect way to start any day 🥰

Creating New Habits

It started with Gavin asking if we could bike to school this morning. I wasn’t feeling it at all, but how could I say no to being active when I have to be the example? I could list a lot of really good reasons, hello cramps (tmi, I know), on why I didn’t want to ride a bike to school, but instead I said sure. Once I got back home, I knew that I hadn’t done my 30 min of exercise so dropped off my bike & went for a run. In this terrible heat 🔥 😂 💪🏼 Not gonna lie, Lizzo helped a ton 🤣

Doing the things that you know you should do even when the feeling isn’t there is how you create new habits. It’s how you step into the life you want to have. Because y’all, it’s not easy all of the time. Like this past wknd, I didn’t do any exercise at all, so I knew I had to get my butt moving today bc when I look in the mirror I want to be proud [Read more…]

Words Have Power

“My daughter starts middle school tomorrow. We’ve decorated her locker, bought new uniforms, even surprised her with a new backpack. But tonight just before bed, we did another pre-middle school task that is far more important than the others. I gave her a tube of toothpaste and asked her to squirt it out onto a plate. When she finished, I calmly asked her to put all the toothpaste back in the tube. She began exclaiming things like “But I can’t!” and “It won’t be like it was before!” I quietly waited for her to finish and then said the following:

“You will remember this plate of toothpaste for the rest of your life. Your words have the power of life or death. As you go into middle [Read more…]

Just Wear the Shoes

You see a pair of shoes & I see those same shoes as a sign of confidence and showing up. Up until recently I was really happy to hide in the shadows of everyone and blend in. Any other year when I had to be around a lot of other women, I would have picked safer shoes. Ones that wouldn’t make me stand out.

But this past Friday was different.

I made a bold choice to wear these shoes as a representation of love for myself. As a sign that I am going to show up for myself and that I’m ready to be seen and heard.

The best part was that I felt [Read more…]

Biggest Decision of YOUR Life

image of weight los 48.6 lbs lost right here. I see the girl on the left, but I never really knew her.

When I came across this video from 4 months ago, it stopped me in my tracks. Watching myself was like watching someone else. So unhappy. Not sure of herself. Lost. While I didn’t set out to post a before & after pic right now, I knew I had to after seeing this because it’s weight loss, but so much more.

The girl on the left wanted to stay hidden. To blend in with others. To fit in. She [Read more…]

Binge Eating Disorder & Why Habits Are So Important

image of a former binge eaterThey say there are two important dates in a person’s life: The day they are born and the day they find out why.

I’ve struggled with that second part a lot and have felt lost for a few years, as you may have read in my previous post. The Rise Women’s Conference gave me the clarity I was so desperately searching for. Back to my roots, if you will.

Helping women (and men) overcome Binge Eating Disorder. It’s the thing that makes me tick. It gets my energy up. It makes me want to stay awake and do all the things required to get to where I want to be. I have found out the reason I was put on this Earth: To help other people and to [Read more…]

Binge Eating Disorder: My Story Unfolded

image of weight loss before and after5-4-3-2-1 …Here goes nothing… At the Rise conference I was challenged by Trent Shelton to post something on social that not too many people know about me. As someone who used to like to hide, this was absolutely terrifying. But, I’ve learned that I have to show myself because you never know who is watching & who can be inspired from your narrative.

Back in 2005 I had a thriving online business where I shared my story & helped so many other women who felt pretty alone in their struggles. I was happy, but still living in a place of not being sure of the person I was meant to be and that got the best of me. Not sure why [Read more…]

Fasting for 90 Hours: What I Learned & What I Would Do Differently

image of fasting benefitsI went 90 hours without eating. Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? I would have never guessed that my body would feel so amazing without physically eating food since Monday night, but it does! I’m kind in awe of myself in a “you’re quite the badass” kind of way. Ha!

Today marks Day 70 of doing Keto and Intermittent Fasting without cheating. Not even once. I’ve been so committed to this new way of life and eating, but I think it’s also because of just how easy it is to follow. Another major plus is that I just feel great! Forget the scale, I feel amazing on the inside. More energy, better sleep, more alert, and more!

The whole reason I embarked [Read more…]
