7 Beauty Habits You Don’t Want To Forget To Do

Getting a regular massage can really help your mood and skinThere are beauty habits that you can forget to do occasionally that won’t really make too much of a difference in the grand scheme of things. For example, it’s easy to get so tired at night that you just don’t have it in you to wash your face.

You go to bed with your makeup on and wash it off the next morning when you wake. While you don’t want to get in the habit of going to bed with your makeup on, a time here and there won’t hurt you in the long run. But there are other beauty habits that you want to make sure you remember because they really do add up and make a huge difference.

Here’s the most simple and best beauty habits that you want to make sure you are not forgetting about:

1. Drink More Water

Our bodies are 50-65% water, so it only makes sense that we need to constantly hydrate ourselves as often as possible. Not only is it great for our skin and hydrating our cells, but also there are so many issues (Hello, headaches!) that can be avoided or helped by consuming more water. If drinking plain water isn’t your thing, try to flavor it by adding strawberries, lemons, limes, cherries, cucumbers, and/or oranges. You can also up your water intake by eating watermelon, cantaloupe, and other fruits that are full of water.

2. Clean Your Phone

Think about all of the places you go with your cell phone in your hand: Grocery store, restaurants, gas stations, the mall, and maybe even the bathroom. Now think about all of the germs that you come into contact with at all of these places. Think about the last time you cleaned the germs off of your phone before holding your phone to your face. Are you so grossed out now or what? Buy some wipes and get the yucky germs off your phone. Your face will thank you.

3. Get a Massage on the Regular

Massages are so relaxing and calming, but did you know they are actually really good for you? It’s true! Massages can help with the obvious, like circulation, stress, pain management, and sore muscles. But did you know that massages can also help with anxiety, headaches, and sports injuries? After a massage, you want to make sure you drink lots of water to help remove any toxins released during the massage. Be sure to tell your husband that since massages will help with so many things, you will need them on the regular!

4. Sunscreen. Wear It.

Everyone knows how scary skin cancer can be so just put your sunscreen on every morning before you start your day. Think just because it’s not sunny you are safe? Wrong. It doesn’t matter if you are in the car or if you are outside on a cloudy day. You run a risk either way. Play it safe and wear it religiously.

5. Find a Good Moisturizer

Shop around for your most favorite moisturizer and use it in the morning and in the evening – or you can use the moisturizer that I use daily. Moisturizer helps to lock the moisture in your cells and is especially something you need to do to your face and neck to help with fine lines and wrinkles. You might want to get a moisturizer for day and a night cream for when you sleep. Make sure to keep your face moisturized every single day. You can also sleep with a humidifier on at night to help hydrate your skin while you dream and don’t forget about the benefits of rosewater as well!

6. Sleep.

Aim to get around 8 hours of sleep every night. It’s helpful to go to bed at the same time and wake up at the same time to help with your body’s internal clock. 7. Exfoliate. Exfoliate. Exfoliate.

In order to have healthy and radiant skin, you have to exfoliate to remove the dead skin. You can apply exfoliate to your skin and sleep in it since your body works hard to repair skin while you sleep.

While there’s a lot of beauty habits that we should be doing on the regular, try these out to start. You will start noticing a nice change in your skin when you drink water to hydrate, sleep the right amount of hours, and exfoliate the dead skin away. Remember that when you start taking care of your body, you will feel so much better and start living the best self that you can be.
